The Report
Fresh and pickled jalapeños, pepper jack, chipotle mayo, and a double smash patty on a potato bun. It is loud, it is messy, and it mostly gets away with it.
The heat is real but controlled: pickled peppers bring acid, fresh slices bring crunch. The patties are well seared and hold their own against the toppings. The problem is the sauce. There is too much chipotle mayo, and by the halfway point the bottom bun is giving up. Balance takes the hit. Cut the sauce by a third and this climbs the Board.
At $14 it is fairly priced for a double. Eat it at a table, not in a car. Bring a friend who wants something with heat. It is open late, which helps more than it should.
